Grammy Nominated and with over 100 recordings to his credit William Meade began his career as a musician with studies at the Eastman School of Music, The Juilliard School and The Manhattan School of Music. In the classical world he was soloist with the Munich Symphony, The Cologne Philharmonic, The Zurich Symphony and The Suisse Romande Orchestra of Geneva. He made thetransition to the popular music world where he toured with Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin and David Bowie. As an independent producer he began producing recordings for Atlantic Records, Nonesuch Records and Decca Records under the watchful ears of legendary record producers, Phil Ramone and Thomas Z. Shepard.
He managed and produced dozens of Broadway and Off Broadway recordings including “Hello Dolly “starring Carol Channing, “Little Me” starring Martin Short, “The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas” with Ann Margaret. “Elegies” starring Betty Buckley, “ A Forever Plaid- Christmas Album”. He has also produced solo albums with Deborah Gibson, Betty Buckley and Rita Moreno. In addition, he was able to remix and remaster legendary shows such as “Red Head” with Lucille Ball, Marc Blitzstein’s “Juno”,“I’m Getting My Act Together and Taking My Act on the Road” and the cult classic, “The Ethel Merman’s Disco Album”. He also wrote and produced music for the television shows “Sex and the City”, “Love Monkey”, “Royal Pains” and the “Super Bowl Half Time Show”.
